Passion & Purpose - All people deserve to become the best version of themselves

Me, myself and I

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see... And what you see is all you get. Thanks for visiting my tiny corner on the world wide web where you can have a look at some of the things that keep me busy. I have also made it easy to get connected through social media or via the connect form.

Hope to find the time to make something out of it one day.

In the meantime, don't hesitate to browse it as it is now and find some information about me.

Photography

When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change... Photography helps. That's one of the reasons that I love to use the camera to look at the world. It also motivates me to explore the world's flora and fauna, people, cities, landscapes, etc.

If you would like to see some of my photos, feel free to check a selection of my work at hyveminer.

Shift Happens.

I am also passionate about Education. We are obliged to empower our students for the jobs of tomorrow, not of yesterday. They have to learn how to be successful in an exponentially evolving, high-tech environment. Success depends less on traditional learning and more on the development of the individual talents, the ability to learn new things and apply those learnings to various scenarios and environments: the core skills to continuous personal reinvention. Therefore it is my charter to identify emerging (educational) opportunities that should be on the agenda but are not, and to do the research necessary to persuade people to put them on the agenda.

010

Last but definitely not least I love the city where I work and live: Rotterdam. And I am not the only one as you can check in the Lonely Planet guide.

Rotterdam - we often call it 010 because of its area code - is a great city to live and work. It has an impressive skyline with lots of architectural icons, exciting festivals, a huge port, a rich cultural scene, lots of trendy restaurants,  a unique Markthal and other interesting foodmarkets, lots of nice attractions including a wonderful Zoo and a lot more. But it is the hands-on-can-do-mentality that I like most.
